2021 Kaden Ambassador Tina DutraTina, an engineer by day, considers herself an adventurer all other times. Beginning to mountain bike in 2017, her first day was at Highland Bike Park in NH and she was hooked. Her favorite trails to ride involve roots, rock gardens, mud and slabs — can you tell she rides in New England? In 2019, she started to do some enduro races across the northeast: Eastern States Cups, Roundtop NY Enduros, and a Mid-Atlantic Super Series. She found herself on a few podiums, but more importantly, she loved how racing pushed her outside of her comfort zone and forced herself to ride trails she otherwise wouldn’t.

In 2020, she had a bit of a mental and physical set back — while training in the early spring, she got into a road bike accident, broke her scaphoid and proceeded to have two surgeries to fix it. She was frustrated and depressed to find herself in the midst of a pandemic and unable to seek peace on two wheels in the woods, but felt that it was incredibly powerful to work through that.

Later in 2020, to help feel connected with the biking community while healing and dealing with the pandemic, she started to volunteer for World Ride, a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to empower women around the world through mountain biking. World Ride raises money to buy bikes for bike libraries and get local women trained as bike guides to lead trips in places like Guatemala, Nepal, and Peru as a way to earn income for their families. Through World Ride, she acts as their Ambassador Coordinator and loves getting to interact with women riders from around the world. In 2021, after almost a year off her bike, she is incredibly excited to roll around in mud again! She looks forward to getting back into bike racing, finishing her 48 4000fters of NH, and connecting with her biking community through World Ride and Kaden events.
