Continue ShoppingSarah's first mountain bike was a hardtail that she rode around her neighborhood in Texas. She progressed from the streets of Houston to the rocky hills of Austin where there's more vert to be had than one might think. After having two different bikes stolen in college, she took a break from the bike scene and saved up for a full-squish. In the meantime, she moved to Colorado where her want for a new-to-her bike only grew. After a stint in Denver, she moved to Colorado Springs where she pulled the trigger on a cross-country ex-race bike. It was all downhill from there (literally).
She joined a women's-specific mountain biking group in the Springs and developed her skills. After two seasons of learning to use her front break, riding loose scree, and a torn meniscus, she moved to Crested Butte, CO, where she resides today. She upgraded her cross-country bike to a Juliana trail bike and loves her Juliana more than anything in this world (besides her hubby and fur-child). As a weekend warrior, she tries to enjoy the beauty of Crested Butte whenever she can, whether that be on a mountain bike in the summer or a snowboard in the winter. Her goal is to one day compete in the mountain biking Grand Traverse from CB to Aspen.
